Fire on May 5, 1978 all but levels Four Winns

Part of finished boats rescued from destruction

and is one of the most popular lines in boating.
The Horizon series includes the popular Fish 'N

The Sundowner line of cuddy cabin models
introduced.
Vista® cruiser series introduced.
Today's Vista series offers eight models from
24' to 37'. The 348 and 378 Vista cruiser offers
inboard power.

Freedom model introduced.
On-the-Water Test and Technical Center opened.
Four Winns remains one of the few boat builders
with an on-the-water test facility.
Four Winns trailer division began.
Trailer production includes every step from a
multi-station weld line to electrostatic painting
and final assembly. Today, Four Winns is the only
leading manufacturer to build its own custom trailers.
Four Winns became part of Outboard Marine Corporation.
OMC was one of the largest producers of marine
products and propulsion systems in recreational
boating.

power.
Today's line of Vista cruisers offers choices

Four Winns introduces Stable-Vee® Hull Design
to recreational boating.
Popular Mechanics awarded it the prestigious
Product Engineering Award. Today, Stable-Vee is
in its third generation with a smoother ride and

OMC and Volvo-Penta, enter into a joint venture
to produce and market stern drive systems.
